April Movies

Here’s what you can look forward to this month!

April 5 Rated PG-13

Starring: Zachary Levi, Dijmon Hounsou and Mark Strong

Foster boy turned superhero (Zachary Levi). Everything that you’d do as a superhero if you were a kid; how much can you get away with! DC Comics keeps the humor going in this film. Looks great for the family and some good laughs.

April 5 Rated R

Starring: Jason Clark, John Lithgow and Amy Seimetz

Stephen King’s nightmare retold! A daughter’s life taken too soon, mourning parents and a pet sematary with dark magical powers and you’ve got a horror thriller. I’m not sure the reason for the remake, but if IT can make a comeback maybe this one can too.

April 12 Rated R

Starring: David Harbour, Ian McShane, and Milla Jovovich

A creature summoned from the depths of hell, and he could be the hero earth needs! It’s been over 10 years since the first Hellboy. For those that saw the originally ones, this may take some getting used to. Ron Perlman did a fantastic portrayal of Hellboy, I’m curious to see how David Harbour will take on this role.

April 12 Rated PG-13

Starring: Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Selma Blair, and Peter Gallagher

Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) has her whole life planned out until she meets troubled bad boy Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). I’m personally excited for this film, since I’ve read the books. I believe this will drive the younger high school crowd and maybe some college. The PG-13 rating will definitely draw viewers who are unable see Hellboy that is released the same day due to the R rating.

April 19 Rated R

Starring: Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez, Marisol Ramirez, and Raymond Cruz

This looks hella scary! A social worker (Linda Cardellini) and her children are being harassed by a spirit. If you’re wanting a scary movie this is the one for April. I believe a lot of jump scares to be had. Combine an R rating and the film is by the same producers of The Conjuring universe–I’m not sure if I’m brave enough to sit through that!

April 26 Rated PG-13

Starring: Brie Larson, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, Karen Gillan, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Evangeline Lily, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Dave Bautista, Danai Gurira, Sebastian Stan, Tessa Thompson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, & tons more stars!

This will be the blockbuster film of the YEAR! Hopefully we will finally have the answers we have been asking since after Avengers: Infinity War! Advanced tickets just went on sale and crashed Cinemark’s website! Luckily, I snagged some! Cannot wait!

Bonus!

Although technically not coming to the big screen, I have to include Game of Thrones on the April list!

Starring: Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kate Harington, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and many others!

HBO’s Game of Thrones final season! For those loyal fans who’ve been watching since 2011 this season will bring us all the answers we’ve been asking! Will Daenerys and Jon Snow find out they’re kind of related? Will the White Walkers take over? Will Cersei finally be defeated? And lastly who will sit on the Iron Throne?
